In a rare and emotional interview, Priscilla Presley opens up about Elvis Presley’s private life, revealing new details.

Nearly five decades after Elvis Presley’s passing, new insights about his life continue to emerge, as his ex-wife, Priscilla Presley, recently shared more personal details ahead of an event at the Hawaii Theatre Center. The 79-year-old revealed that Elvis had a favorite spot where he would retreat to unwind when he wasn’t working.

Elvis’ relaxation haven was in Hawaii, where he would often fly to recharge and find peace between performances. Priscilla explained that due to his strong commitment to performing, he needed time to do nothing but rest and enjoy life.

Despite being weak in the knees for one another, Priscilla and Elvis lasted only six years in marriage. This did not stop either party from acknowledging the mutual love they share— especially Priscilla, who still refers to him as the love of her life.

Their union was greatly affected by the Rock ‘n’ Roll king’s fame, as he was hardly at home and often entertained other women while away. Interestingly, Priscilla confessed that she could not remarry after their divorce because no one could match up to her late ex-husband in her eyes.

Why Elvis never had more children

Priscilla shared that after the birth of their first child, Lisa Marie Presley, Elvis was not around much to consider having more children. Following Lisa Marie’s passing due to surgery complications in January 2023, Priscilla mentioned that Elvis rarely expressed guilt over being absent during Lisa Marie’s childhood and seldom discussed the idea of adding more children to their family.

By 1972, Priscilla decided she had had enough and separated from her heartthrob to live life outside his shadows. She also stated that his infidelity was so unbearable that she began to fulfill her emotional and sexual needs with karate instructor Mike Stone in the early ‘70s. They finalized their divorce the following year but remained friends and co-parents until Elvis’ passing in 1977.
